What Is A Floater?

Our Floater Frames are designed to show every inch of your masterpiece adding an elegant little black space between your painting and the frame. This small little design element  reveals every inch of your painting. Nothing is lost, especially the signature!

These frame are fit with an MDF panel that has darkened edges so that your work floats on a black background with about a quarter inch of float space. Since you mount from the front of these frames, our floaters all come fully backed and wired.

You can attach the finished panel to our black backing with four little dots of silicone (available in the plumbing department of all hardware stores). It is positionable and needs to set for a few hours. Hot glue, velco, etc. will also work. Your painting can be removed by gently working a spatula under your panel.
