Spectacular hand carved, hand detailed richly antiqued Impressionist style frame of Curt Allman design. The finish is hand applied,richly antiqued metal leaf that reveals strong leaf lines to match the finest 22k museum frames. There is a rich reddish umber undertone that is rubbed through on the details and edges. This is a three piece, masterfully constructed frame with the middle liner being a one piece routed panel that will never have corner separation. The middle panel is scratched giving this frame an ageless richness. This frame is over 4" wide and 1 1/2" in depth giving this frame a substantial appearance even at a larger 36" x 48" size. The rabbet depth is 1/2" deep but 3/4" to the back of he frame so it will easily accommodate a 3/4" stretcher bar canvas.
